Private trekking
Be ready for an amazing day in private with your local Karen guide in the Doi Inthanon National Park! After a drive of about 1h15, directly from your hotel, you will arrive in the most famous National Park of Thailand, with it's summit at 2565m, the highest of the country! You will be also able to walk on the Angkha trail, a 20min easy walk in the heart of the jungle.

Then it will be time to join the 2h ( go and back ) Kew Mae Pan Trail, this natural walk could be the most beautiful panoramic view you will ever see in Thailand. The trail sits at 2,200 meters above sea level, just a few hundred meters below Thailand's highest peak. Depending on the weather, the visibility could be a clear sky mountain view or trapped in a mountain covered with mist, sometimes with a magnificent view of sea of cloud.
* Please note that during the rainy season, this trail is close, so you will trek at the Pha Dok Siew trail, surrounded by rice-fields.

After this amazing walk, you will visit the giant Pagodas of the King and the Queen, with their wonderful gardens. Your guide will explain you everything about the Thai Monarchy, and about these pagodas. It will then be time for a lunch, before to stop at the Wachiratan waterfall to make some wonderful pictures.
Your last stop will be at the National Royal Agricultural Station Inthanon, initiated to promote highland agriculture among hill-tribes of the region. The main focuses are on the research and development of highland fisheries, as well as cultivation of plants, vegetables and fruits, with the goal of providing the people of the hill-tribes more earnings and a better living environment.

You will be bring back by your guide around 5.00 - 5.30pm. As it is a private experience, we can also bring you directly to the airport, bus station, train station... That's up to you!

Day 1

  • Departure between 8.00 - 8.30am at your hotel
  • Drive to the National Park of Doi Inthanon
  • Go to the summit of the mountain ( 2,665m )
  • Trek in the amazing Angkha Nature Trail ( 20min )
  • Trekking of 2h on the beautiful Kew Mae Pan trail ( Pha Dok Siew during rainy season with terrace rice fields )
  • Visit the Pagodas of the King and the Queen and their garden
  • Stop at the amazing waterfall of Wachirathan
  • Have a lunch nearby
  • Visit the National Royal Project of Horticulture
  • Drive back to your hotel in Chiang Mai

2days 1night : Eco trekking with Karen people and Doi Inthanon

Private trekking

Are you in need of a refreshing and rejuvenating break in the great outdoors? If so, come and embark on a 2-day and 1-night adventure to the highest peak in Thailand, Doi Inthanon. Not only will you be able to take in the natural beauty of the mountain, but you'll also have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the traditional way of life of the Karen People, an indigenous hill tribe that reside in the mountains and cultivate rice on terraced fields.

1st day

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Chiang Mai between 8:00 and 8:30 am and take you to a local market for any last-minute shopping before your trek into the jungle.

Upon arriving at your guide's village, the first day will be dedicated to exploring the surrounding area. You will have the flexibility to tailor the level of the trek to your preference, as it's a private experience. If you prefer to spend more time in the village, that's not a problem.

If you do choose to go trekking, your guide will take you to beautiful and scenic locations, where you can see terraced rice fields (during the rainy season from May to October) and take a break by the waterfalls. Don't forget to bring your swimming suit.

After lunch, you will continue trekking and then take a car to enjoy traditional bamboo rafting. Afterwards, you will return to the village where your guide will escort you to your private room, a traditional wooden and bamboo house. You will have dinner with your guide, and even have the option to help cook, before retiring for the night.

2nd day

Are you ready for a new adventure? Today, you will enter the famous Doi Inthanon National Park, which is located close to the village. This is a great opportunity to visit the highest peak of Thailand at 2,565 meters before the crowds arrive and enjoy a peaceful setting. You will also have the chance to take a leisurely 20-minute walk on the Angkha trail, through the heart of the jungle.

Next, you will embark on the 2-hour round trip Kew Mae Pan Trail, which offers some of the most breathtaking panoramic views in Thailand. The trail sits at 2,200 meters above sea level, just a few hundred meters below Thailand's highest peak. The visibility can vary depending on the weather, you may see a clear sky mountain view or be surrounded by mist, and sometimes even a sea of clouds. Please note that during the rainy season, this trail is closed, and you will trek on the Pha Dok Siew trail, surrounded by rice fields.

The program of 2days 1night : Eco trekking with Karen people and Doi Inthanon

Day 1

  • Start your adventure by departing from your hotel between 8:00-8:30am
  • Take a drive to the jungle and make a stop at a local market for some shopping
  • Reach our Karen village and begin your trekking journey
  • Explore the jungle for approximately 2-3 hours, with a stop to swim and have lunch at the waterfall and river
  • Continue trekking for an additional 1-2 hours
  • Enjoy a 45-minute bamboo rafting experience (optional, subject to weather conditions)
  • Return to the Karen hill tribe village and have the opportunity to cook with the local family
  • Spend the night in a traditional bamboo and wood house.

Day 2

  • Start the day with a morning breakfast
  • Take a drive to the Doi Inthanon National Park
  • Hike to the highest peak of Thailand (2,665m)
  • Explore the Angkha Nature Trail (20min)
  • Take a 2-hour hike on the breathtaking Kew Mae Pan trail (Pha Dok Siew trail during rainy season)
  • Visit the King and Queen's Pagodas and their gardens
  • Make a stop at the stunning Wachirathan waterfall
  • Enjoy a lunch nearby
  • See the National Royal Project of Horticulture
  • Return to your hotel in Chiang Mai and be dropped off at 5.30pm.

This package consists of 2 days 1 night trek in a non-touristic village and one day experience at « Kew Mae Pan » Natural Trail (located in the Doi Inthanon National park). ( between July and September, because of the rainy season, you will go the the Ang Kha Train instead ) Includes one night in an authentic village (White Pakayaw). Enjoy your new unforgettable experience !



The expedition at Kew Mae Pan is not available from July to September because of the rainy season. Instead, please consider this one at Doi Inthanon which is really similar.
