This trekking is great to discover the jungle around the city of Chiang Mai, but also it's most famous and venerated temple: Wat Phra That Doi Suthep (aka the Golden Temple) .



After our drive of about 45min to arrive at the top of the Suthep mountain, we will visit the Meo local village, from the Hmong hill tribe, before heading to the Doi Suthep temple! You will have enough time to visit this amazing Golden temple, and even get a panoramic view on Chiang Mai city.

We will then start our soft trail, for about 45m ( 3 km ), with a mild incline of moderate difficulty. Once we enter the trail, we will follow the trees wrapped in the customary orange cloth that monks in Thailand use to dress themselves ( this route was originally a Buddhist pilgrimage route. )



At the end of the trail, we will enjoy the quietness of the Wat Umong temple, that gives the temple its undeniable serene and peaceful atmosphere. You will able to visit the famous tunnels under the temple.
We will then drive you back to your hotel, for 2.00pm

The program of Phat Lad nature trail with Doi Suthep temple

Day 1

  • Departure between 8.00 - 8.30am at your hotel in Chiang Mai
  • Drive to the toi of the Suthep mountain, about 45min ( by minivan AC )
  • Visit the local village of Meo
  • Stop at the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple
  • Drive to the jungle temple of Wat Palad
  • Start the soft trek on the "Monk Trail", for about 3km ( 45min )
  • Visit the Wat Umong temple with it's tunnels
  • Drive back to your hotel around 2.00pm

Come with us for a day that will take you to the highest point of Thailand.
Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain in the country, and is part of the Himalayan range.
Its lush vegetation has made it one of the most popular national parks in the country.

In addition to many points of interest to visit, such as the magnificent King and Queen's Pagoda surrounded by their garden, or its immense Royal project, where many varieties of vegetables, plants, and fruits are grown, all without any chemical products and in the purest respect of nature, Doi Inthanon is above all an appealing natural site.


With our program, you will be able to hike for 2 hours on one of the most famous trails in the Park, the Kew Mae Pan trail, which takes you in the early morning to the highest point in Thailand to enjoy an absolutely extraordinary viewpoint, located above the clouds. The rest of the day is devoted to visiting the park.
* (During the rainy season, the Kew Mae Pan trail is closed, and replaced by the Pha Dok Siew rice paddy fields)

The program of 1 day trekking in Kew Mae Pan Doi Inthanon

Day 1

  • Departure between 7am and 7:30am by car or minivan from your hotel in Chiang Mai
  • After about 1h15 of driving, you will enter the National Park (entries included)
  • It will then be time to do a 2-hour trekking on the Kew Mae Pan trail, and climb to the highest peak in the country.
  • You will then visit the magnificent twin pagodas of the King and Queen and their gardens
  • Thai buffet style meal included
  • You will then visit a Hmong village to discover many local products such as honey, wine, coffee and teas
  • You will end with a visit to the highest waterfall in the country: Wachirathan
  • Check-in at your hotel between 5pm and 5.30pm
